I had a great day hiking the Subway yesterday. The weather was perfect, the scenery outstanding and I felt totally at peace. If you’ve never done the Subway before, it can be quite a challenging hike. Overall, the totally hike is 8 miles of climbing over boulders, crossing the creek and wading through cold water. It’s not an easy hike, but it’s definitely worth it!
It’s easy in a place like this to focus on the larger picture and neglect the little details like this. I noticed that every few minutes a leaf would break away and float past this small cascade so I composed my shot and I waited. In this case, I definitely feel like my patience was rewarded!
